Next Saturday (13th May) sees the second festival run by CloseUp Promotions take place in Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, London, so in celebration we’ve come up with five acts that you wouldn’t wanna miss.
We’re kicking off the list with Yorkshire quartet Marsicans. If you’ve been following us for a while you know how much we love Marsicans, but we’re trying not to be biased. The Leeds lads will be bringing perfect harmonies and energy to the Shoreditch venue, as they take a day off of their tour with Natives.
Key track: Absence
Secondly, we have Jerry Williams. We caught Jerry’s set last time she played Hoxton’s main room to an almost sold out, mesmerised crowd. This time, she plays solo, headlining the stripped-back stage at the venue and we can’t wait to see her in a different environment.
Key track: Lets Just Forget It
Hows Harry, a band from London, will be rocking up to a venue in their hometown and causing a riot for sure. After releasing debut single Othello last month, the boys really showcased their talent and ear for a hook as well as a big chorus.

Headlining one of London’s most talked about festivals will be pop-duo Ekkah. Their synchronised performance and sleek, sassy pop songs will be the perfect end to the night, resulting in grooves and dancing throughout.
Key track: Can’t Give It Up
Lastly, Croydon’s very own The Bulletproof Bomb will be rolling into Shoreditch to play what is sure to be an emphatic set packed with jams. After attracting attention from across the country and playing shows nationwide, the Sportswear Punks should not be missed.
