It may only be April and Spring has just arrived, but Summer is hiding around the corner and before you know, it’ll be festival season so we wanna give you an insight into what we think are some fab festivals this year.

Truck Festival, Oxfordshire

Truck have got a lot to play for due to being held on the same weekend and Latiude, however as I’ve been to both festivals I have to say Truck is stepping slightly in front. Latitude is so aesthetically pleasing but you can’t beat the line up at Truck. Year after year they bang out a lineup which can’t really be faulted. If you’re popping along, you’re undoubtedly going to have one of the best weekends of your life. Make sure to check out Catfish and the Bottlemen, Southampton punks Creeper and Brighton’s slackers The Magic Gang.

110 Above Festival, Leicestershire

Unfortunately, for a reason we are unaware of, 110 Above has never really been on our radar until this year. But blimey they’ve got a smashing line up which is definitely not one to miss. With Cracked Vinyl favourites, D.I.D headlining alongside Hudson Taylor as well as acts like Sundara Karma, Clean Cut Kid and Young Kato you’ll definitely wanna get pitching your tent. Out there as one of the cheapest camping festivals in the UK, 110 is so worth your money!

Blissfields Festival, Hampshire

Blissfields is one of our favourite festivals (I’ve been 4 years straight) so we couldn’t not mention it. With the theme of the festival this year being house party the guys at Bliss thought who could be more apt than Dizzee Rascal himself. Alongside Dizzee, Everything Everything are bringing bangers to the main stage this July. The festival isn’t just about the headliners, either, as Spring King, Science Of Eight Limbs and Blissfields regular Beans On Toast will also be gracing stages across the festival.

Flying Vinyl Festival, London

Day festivals are always a great shout if you’re not so keen on the idea of camping in a (usually) muddy field. Flying Vinyl fest is a line up made up on bands who have featured in the Flying Vinyl boxsets. If you’re yet to hear, then Flying Vinyl curate a monthly subscription box for members including exclusive vinyl from the best new alternative artists. The festival will take place at Hackney venue Shapes, with acts such as The Magic Gang, Yonaka and headliners Swim Deep playing, amongst others.

Victorious Festival, Hampshire

If one day festival isn’t enough for  you music lovers, grab a ticket for Victorious and head on down to Southsea Common. Gracing The Common Stage are acts such as Noel Gallagher, Manic Street Preachers, The Coral and many more to be announced.
