Undoubtedly the best band in Southampton, Fever have released a new track, finally, and I can honestly say it was massively worth the wait. Fever’s own brand of grungey garage fuzz has captivated audiences all over the UK at festivals such as Truck, where they opened the main stage, and Common People.
Connor Smith’s voice is a standout point in, not only the track, but the bands sound as a whole. Just like in their previous single Shell Shock, Smith’s vocal ability is truly captured in the chorus. “I’m a sucker for you” he belts out. A simple line but an easy one to singalong to, which will help their cause no end.
Having played shows all over Southampton and afar, supporting bands such as Hooton Tennis Club, The Magic Gang and Baby Strange, they have certainly become a staple for the Southampton music scene (one I regard as the best in the country) and you can expect to see them soon because they’re surely gonna be huge soon enough.
You can catch Fever on these dates:
25th November – The Joiners (Supporting Pretty Vicious)
22nd January – The Joiners (With Bel Esprit and Howland)
